Family-owned Toymasters set to close in Red Bank
A family-owned toy store in business for decades in Monmouth County is set to close by the end of the month.
Toymasters, one of the remaining mom-and-pop brick-and-mortar toy stores in Red Bank, will close at the end of November.
Denise Zappoli has been holding the reins with her family and trying to keep the 33-year tradition going strong since her husband Paul passed away a few years ago.
Zappoli says she managed to stay ahead of the online competition, and saying goodbye won't be easy.
"I just want to thank everyone. It's been a great ride, and I'm proud of what we've done and say thank you to the community,” she says.
Zappoli says if a buyer is found, the store could reopen under new ownership.
She also clarified that her neighboring store, Hobbymasters, will remain open.
