A teacher was found dead inside of a West Farms School bathroom, police say.

The discovery was made Thursday inside P.S. X811 on Longfellow Avenue around 6 p.m.

Police say faculty members noticed the bathroom door inside the special education school was locked and became suspicious before calling police.

An envelope containing an unknown substance believed to be drug paraphernalia was found lying near the 36-year-old male teacher's body, according to police.

Emergency personal pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The teacher has not been identified and a medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
