Stamford names 2017 Citizen of the Year

The 2017 Citizen of the Year for Stamford has been named.
Dudley Williams was surrounded by Mayor David Martin, colleagues and family at the Stamford Government Center.
Williams was surprised with the award, and says giving to the community has always been a priority.
"Stamford has been a wonderful home for our family,” says Williams. “We wanted to contribute, give back and make it better. It's been a great place for us and we think we'd like to do more to make it a great place for all of our citizens."
Williams has served on a number of city boards and nonprofits, including the Board of Finance and the Mill River Park Collaborative.
