Storm bringing wintry mix and snow, up to 4 inches possible

BROOKLYN -

A fast-moving storm is bringing a wintry mix of rain and snow to the borough overnight into early Sunday.

News 12 meteorologists say snow and rain showers overnight will last through early Sunday morning

Accumulations could reach 2-4 inches across the city. But the storm's exact track will directly affect totals, and more mixing with rain will lead to lesser accumulations.

The precipitation tapers off early Sunday morning, and the rest of the day Sunday will see mostly sunny skies. Highs will be in the mid- to upper-40s, and are likely to quickly melt any accumulations.
