Police are offering $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a hit-and-run driver who struck an East Islip man in his driveway earlier this month.
Authorities say the driver was in a silver or gray Nissan Altima during the Jan. 10 incident outside Jorge Gomez's home on Union Boulevard. Pieces of the Altima were left behind.
Gomez needed stitches and suffered a dislocated shoulder. His vehicle was also smashed by the driver.
Police are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
