The Town of Oyster Bay is considering a plan that would raise fees of Long Island Rail Road parking permits from $10 to as much as $100.
The town says the fee hike would help pay for maintenance of the lots.
Oyster Bay issues permits for its parking lots at the Bethpage, Glen Head, Hicksville, Locust Valley, Massapequa and Syosset train stations.
The town board decided to postpone a vote on the proposed fee hike Tuesday to allow more time to get more feedback from residents.
