Arrest made in shooting death of 18-year-old Jersey City man
An arrest was made Tuesday afternoon in the shooting death of an 18-year-old Jersey City man, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said Wednesday.
The prosecutor’s office says Kahsaun Bell, 19, was charged with murder in connection with Angel Cruz’s death.
Officials said officers responded to a report of shots fired around 9:30 p.m. Monday in the area of Rose Avenue. Cruz was found inside a home on Rose Avenue suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, the prosecutor’s office said.
Cruz was taken to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 3:20 a.m. Tuesday.
The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office determined Cruz’s cause of death to be gunshot wounds to his torso and extremities and ruled the manner of his death as homicide
