Voters approve plan to let BOCES buy North Bellmore school

A plan to buy a rented BOCES building in North Bellmore has been approved.
BOCES uses the Jerusalem Avenue School for hundreds of students with behavioral and developmental disabilities.
On Thursday, residents voted 2,225 in favor of the purchase, 254 against, according to Newsday.
The vote to buy the $12 million building still has to be approved by the BOCES board.
