NEW YORK -

Viacom is launching a streaming service. The media company says it will offer tens of thousands of hours of shows and content from its many channels like Nickelodeon, MTV and Comedy Central. It comes as Viacom and CBS are considering merging, again.

Subscriptions for the the New York Times jumped 46 percent in 2017 to $340 million. There are now 2.2 million paying readers. 

Facebook is testing a 'down vote' button that will let users flag and hide comments they think are inappropriate. It's not necessarily a dislike button. Facebook says it's only running the test on a small number of people in the U.S. CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said his goal is to fix Facebook and make it more of a meaningful experience.
