Learning program teaches little kids to make friends

With handshakes and high-fives, kindergartners are learning how to make friends in a program at P.S. 282 in Park Slope.
They also have to learn to communicate and work together to solve problems.
"We have them understand how much love and empathy and compassion we can have for one another," says T. Denny Sanford, the philanthropist behind Sanford Harmony, a learning program he helps fund.
Around the country, about 1 million students participate in the same program. More than 200,000 are in New York City.
