Parents weighed in Wednesday on Mayor Bill de Blasio's decision to close city schools ahead of the nor'easter.
From 1978 until de Blasio took office, city schools were only closed 11 times.  According to the Department of Education, de Blasio has only closed school five times.
Some parents felt the storm wasn't that bad and that school could have been in session. Others said the storm got worse during the day and since it was so slippery to get around they thought he made the right call.
New York City public schools will be open Thursday following the spring snowstorm, according to the mayor's office.
