Customers of this Bronx bakery say they have been faithful to the business since it opened in the 90's.
LaSalle Bakery on E. Tremont Avenue has a loyal following and there's a reason why.
Owner Dominick Passafiume says all their baked goods are made fresh on the premises every day.
Whatever buns and danishes are leftover at the end of the day, Passafiume donates to local charities in the Bronx.
"Our baking team comes in at midnight. Things have been different in the baking industry and businesses like this don't exist anymore," Passafiume says.
Passafiume says he really takes pride in making layer cakes. The bakery makes its own custards, and fills fresh cannolis every day.
