Bushwick business teaches circus tricks

BUSHWICK -

A Bushwick business gives people the chance to step inside the circus ring and learn classic acrobatic moves.

The Muse Brooklyn is the largest circus school in Brooklyn, with classes for everyone ranging from beginners to experts.

Owner Angela Buccinni Butch was a professional dancer for decades before getting into the circus. She says she wanted to bring the activity to the public and that it has been in demand.

"Everything is dependent on trust and communication," says Buccinni Butch. "And there's this camaraderie that doesn't exist necessarily as deeply in other modalities. That makes circus so special, our lives literally depend on each other."

The Muse Brooklyn also holds professional performances at its location.
