Some Connecticut residents had the opportunity to get free dental care this weekend.
Connecticut Mission of Mercy held its 12th annual clinic at Torrington High School Friday and Saturday. The gym was transformed into a full-service dental care facility with equipment for cleanings, root canals and even full prosthetics.
Volunteers say dental care can be an important confidence booster and can help address serious medical issues.
Patients were seen on a first come, first served basis. By Saturday afternoon, organizers said the clinic had reached capacity and was closed.
