Weehawken High School prom interrupted after cruise ships collide

A high school prom came to an early end when two cruise ships collided in Hoboken.
Hoboken police say the incident happened Thursday around 7:30 p.m.
Students from Weehawken High School were on board one of the boats when it crashed.
Ninety-five students and 11 staff were set to party all night on board the Cornucopia Destiny out of Hoboken's Pier 14, until it hit the smaller Sundancer, also operated by Cornucopia Cruise line.
The accident pushed Sundancer into a light pole, which came down onto the pier.
Police ended up using ropes to pull the larger vessel and eventually secure it to the pier.
Everyone was evacuated on board. There were no injuries.
Pictures and video clips posted on social media showed a large amount of emergency crews after the collision.
The students were being taken back to the high school.
It was not immediately known if the prom would continue or be rescheduled.
