Memorial Day weekend gas prices are the highest they've been since 2014.
On Friday, prices in Fairfield County were averaging $3.15 for a gallon of regular -- 63 cents more than last year.
Still, the prices didn't seem to stop anyone from driving to their weekend destinations.
AAA suggests traveling light and traveling between 55 and 65 mph to save on gas mileage.
About 42 million Americans are expected to be hitting the roads this weekend, a 5 percent increase from last year. About 91 percent of travelers will drive 50 or more miles during their trip.
