The so-called Spacebuster dome has opened in Grand Army Plaza and is featuring some exciting events through Sunday.

Organizers say the giant bubble is about much more than just a cool piece of art. They say it's about conversation, learning and bringing people together.

The Democracy Lab was put together by the Brooklyn Public Library. On Monday, there is a chair making event.  The chairs will remain throughout week and be used during the various events.

Some events during the week include a green design workshop and guest speakers.
