Girl saved from nearly falling on subway tracks

BROOKLYN -

Police say a young girl who was jumping back and forth between the doors of a subway train car got stuck between the door and the platform as the train began to take off.

Strangers at the Barclays Subway Station sprang into action and ran after the train.

Someone inside the train pulled the emergency handle.

Luckily, someone was able to get the young girl out.

But the girl’s mother jumped on the tracks thinking she had fallen, and then quickly realized she had already been pulled to safety.

News 12 was told the girl was taken to Brooklyn Hospital Center, where she is expected to be OK.
