Suspect in brutal stabbing to face federal charges

A Bronx man will face federal charges in connection with the attack and stabbing of a 14-year-old alongside the Bronx River Parkway last week.
The teen and a group of friends were swimming in the Bronx River on June 18 when a fight broke out.
The victim ran from a group of men onto the Bronx River Parkway near East Gun Hill Road. They caught up with him and stabbed him multiple times, police say.
Authorities have identified one of the suspects as 21-year-old Ramon Paulino, who is facing federal charges of attempted murder, gang assault and assault.
The teen remains hospitalized in critical condition.
The other suspects are still at large.
