Police: 1 dead in East New York shooting

EAST NEW YORK -

A Brooklyn man is dead following a shooting in East New York.

The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Thursday at the corner of Pitkin and Montauk avenues.

Police say surveillance video shows the 27-year-old victim leaning into the driver's side of the vehicle before stumbling back as the car takes off.

Responding officers found him unresponsive with gunshot wounds to the face, chest and arms.

Police are still searching for the gunman who left the scene in a light-colored luxury sedan.
