A Bronx family wants justice in the case of an unresolved shooting that led to the death of a bar owner.
Police have identified a suspect, but have not been able to track him down after almost two years.
Mario Ramirez was shot on July 22, 2016. Fifteen days later, he went into a coma. He died this year.
Police have been looking for Carlos Oshoa in connection to the case. They say he's the man seen in surveillance video who shot Ramirez three times at close range inside the latter's bar.
The bar owner denied the suspect alcohol because he was too drunk, according to investigators.
It took police only a few days to identify their suspect, but they say he's eluded capture for almost two full years.
The victim's brother and business partner, Gustavo, closed the bar down after the incident.
Family members say the unsolved case has changed their lives and left them scared and frustrated.
"They have no clues whatsoever," says Elizabeth Ramirez, the victim's daughter. "They don't know anything about him, just that he disappeared."
Police say that detectives remain in contact with the family, and the investigation remains active.
Ramirez was buried in his native Mexico.
