The Bronx has seen an increase in gun violence and community members came together to call for an end to it on Tuesday.
The clergy council of the 49th Precinct held a prayer vigil and rally in Van Nest.
The event was held in honor of Jose Velez, the 22-year-old father who was shot dead in his car last month.
Organizers say too many lives are being lost because of the violence
Police are looking for Michael Rodriguez, who is the alleged shooter, along with another man who was present.
