Sanitation services boosted for some BK businesses

City Councilman Chaim Deutsch is part of an effort to clean up parts of Brooklyn.
Deutsch has announced increased trash collection for businesses in his neighborhood. He says over the coming weeks, trash will be picked up seven days a week along Avenue M, Avenue U, Kings Highway, Sheepshead Bay Road, Brighton Beach Avenue and Neptune Avenue.
The councilman says overflowing trash is an issue that needs to be addressed, and with this new project, everyone in the community can start to make a change.
Businesses will be given green bags to participate in the initiative that Deutsch hopes will help owners maintain clean storefronts.
The plan goes into effect July 23 in Sheepshead Bay.
