The Orange County Fair kicked off Thursday afternoon with free rides and a full petting zoo.
Dreamland Amusements took the reins this year at the revamped event, chock full of new features.
The Ferris wheel is now the bigger and better Dream Wheel. The fair also features camel rides.
The free rides last until 5:30 p.m. Rides will cost $1 for the rest of the evening to mark opening night.
For those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, live entertainment will feature professional wrestling for the first time at the oldest fair in the state.
Organizers say that the aim of the fair is to make the fun more affordable for families. There's a $25 all-day wristband pass and discounts if people come in groups.
For $40, visitors can enjoy admission, parking and a concert from a major band.
The fair runs through July 21.
The fair is in its 178th year.
