Cellphone video shows an iguana climbing the side of a Target store in Commack.
The video shows it crawling toward the roof before the president of the Strong Island Animal Rescue League grabs it with his hands.
Iguanas are not native to Long Island. The rescue group says it could be an escaped pet.
A veterinarian is checking out the lizard. If its owner fails to claim it, it could be put up for adoption.
