Track work along the Jerome Avenue No. 4 line is expected to last six weeks.
Until Aug. 31, there will be no uptown service from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. between the Fordham and Kingsbridge Road stations.
The MTA will be removing and installing track panels. Street cranes to transport materials will take up parking spots along Jerome Avenue.
Commuters who spoke with News 12 bemoaned having to change their schedules to accommodate the work.
"We have jobs, we have to get to school," said one straphanger.
News 12 is told that businesses in the area have been made aware of the changes.
