A street will be renamed in honor of Lesandro Guzman-Feliz, the young Bronx boy known as Junior who was stabbed to death last month outside of a bodega.
An announcement will be made Monday on the corner of East 183rd Street and Bathgate Avenue, although it won't be the actual street renaming ceremony. There will be renderings of what the street signs will look like.
The announcement will be made by City Council member Ritchie Torres and he will be joined by Junior's family.
Police say the 15-year-old was stabbed to death last month by a group of Trinitarios gang members.
Over 10 suspects have been charged in connection to his death.
The memorial that was set up outside the bodega has been cleared and the store reopened this past Monday to clean up inside. The bodega is not yet open for business.
The street renaming announcement will take place on Monday at 10 a.m.
