Bushwick entrepreneurs launch electric moped sharing service

Emissions-free electric mopeds are the future of New York City commuting — at least according to the duo behind Revel Transit, who say they opened up shop in response to the looming L train shutdown.
Frank Reig and Paul Suhey are rolling out their 68-vehicle pilot program based in Bushwick, Williamsburg and Greenpoint.
Each ride includes a helmet and insurance, and anyone who signs up for the service can take advantage of Revel's free in-person training sessions, the owners say.
Users must first download the Revel app on their smartphone, then pay a $25 fee. After that, rides start at $4 for the first 20 minutes. Additional minutes cost 25 cents each.
