WOODBURY -

This week's dogs are up for adoption at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. The shelter is located at 3320 Beltagh Ave. in Wantagh. Their phone number is (516) 785-5220.

Charlotte is 2 years old, and a victim of an eviction. Charlotte was purchased as a puppy from some sort of breeder and has been in the same home since then. As per her previous owner, Charlotte is house trained, crate trained and knows the commands like sit, down, stay and come. Charlotte loves other dogs and would do best in a home with kids 13 years and older.

Ivo was surrendered to the shelter along with another dog due to their owners moving out of state. Ivo is 2 years old and weighs 60 pounds. Ivo's previous owners reported that he is house trained and crate trained. Ivo knows his basic commands and enjoys playing with his toys. Ivo is good with other dogs and would do best in a home with children 13 years and older.

Kitson is a 1.5-year-old female pit mix. She came into the shelter as a stray back in February. She is friendly and playful with other dogs, loves to play with toys, and would be the perfect exercise buddy. She would do best in a home with children 13 years and older, and weighs about 60 lbs.
