Police: Man stabbed girlfriend, attempted to board plane to Dominican Republic

A man stabbed his girlfriend in the Bronx before attempting to get on a plane headed for the Dominican Republic, police say. 
The incident happened Monday inside of an apartment on Allerton Avenue around 8:30 a.m. 
Police say Willson Rojas, 32, stabbed his 24-year-old girlfriend in the chest and arm multiple times after breaking into her apartment.
Rojas left the apartment and was later arrested at John F. Kennedy International Airport around 7 p.m. where officials say he tried to board a plane. 
The woman was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition.
Rojas was taken to a hospital from the 49th Precinct after becoming sick, according to police.
Police say he has 30 prior arrests including charges of attempting to kill a woman, assault, and robbery.
