Brooklyn Music School gives kids chance to explore performing arts

Posted: Updated:
DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN -

The Brooklyn Music School is giving students with creative minds a chance to shine in their after-school program.

The goal of the Downtown Brooklyn school is to help students who have little access to performing arts get their chance to participate.

Families that can't afford class costs have a chance to get scholarships and financial aid. This year the school introduced the "jam van," which will go to neighborhood schools and bring students to the program.

Registration for after-school programs is open, with a goal of getting kids on stage.
