The widow of a New Jersey man is pleading for someone to come forward with information about her husband’s death nine months ago.
Jose Cedillo was the victim of a deadly hit-and-run crash near Applegarth Road and Forsgate Drive in Monroe Township Nov. 30, 2017. He was on his way to work at 5 a.m. and stepped out of his vehicle and was struck. The driver did not stop.
His wife Leslie says that she believes someone knows who the driver is, and wants that person to come forward.
“I feel in my heart that [the driver] has told somebody else. And I kind of appeal to that person to come forward and say something,” she says.
Leslie Cedillo says that all she has left of her husband are her memories of him.
“I'm on the verge of tears all the time. Anything can make me cry. A song, seeing something in this house,” she says.
A sign has been placed near the crash site that says “Justice for Jose” as a reminder that the driver is still at large.
Anyone who may have any information about the crash is urged to contact the Middlesex County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-939-9600.
