Police are investigating after a man was fatally shot in Bay Ridge Friday.

Officials say they rushed to a call of an assault near 93rd Street and Fourth Avenue just before 6 p.m. Police say they found a man lying unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his neck.

EMS transported the victim to NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the victim is an unidentified 23-year-old and that they are still searching for the gunman.

Investigators say they do not have a motive yet.

Police say there are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
