Police are asking for the public's help to track down two men they say sexually assaulted a 15-year-old while she was walking home from Harding High School on Thursday afternoon.
They say she was walking home at 2 p.m. when the two suspects, white males in their late 30s, pulled her into a dark-colored Jeep and sexually assaulted her.
The victim's father says the men groped his daughter and tried to rip her clothes off while driving through a neighborhood off Boston Avenue.
He says a short time later, the men pushed her out of the vehicle because she put up a struggle.
A neighbor who has two young daughters of her own says she was horrified to learn about the assault.
Police Chief AJ Perez says investigators found out about the incident when they were called to Bridgeport Hospital, where the victim went with her parents to be treated for minor injuries.
Democratic Town Committee member Tony Barr, who represents the district where the victim lives, says the neighborhood plans to take action by putting together a community watch.
The victim's father says that his daughter's attackers should turn themselves in.
