2 more human cases of West Nile virus reported in Suffolk
Officials say there are two new human cases of West Nile virus in Suffolk.
The county health department says one person lives in Huntington Town and the other lives in Smithtown.
Both cases are people older than 55 years and they were treated at a hospital late last month.
The new cases brings the total cases of West Nile in Suffolk this year to three.
The virus is transmitted through mosquitoes and it can be deadly.
