BAY RIDGE -

A teen was assaulted and robbed by another teen inside of a Brooklyn subway station, police say.

The incident happened on Sept. 14, inside of the Bay Ridge Avenue station on the Northbound R train platform around 9 a.m.

Police say the suspect approached a 17-year-old, asked him where his cellphone was and began punching him before stealing his headphones.

Police have released surveillance images of the suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
