More than 100 emergency responders battled a huge fire in Bed-Stuy Friday afternoon.
Officials say the flames broke out just after 2 p.m. on Lafayette Avenue.
The apartment building that was affected appears to have been abandoned, according to officials.
No one was hurt, but the flames were very intense. The fire began on the first floor and quickly spread upwards.
Officials say random items in the building made it more difficult for firefighters to extinguish the flames.
Despite its strength, the fire stayed contained to one building.
Fire marshals are investigating the cause of the fire.
