Police: Man shot following dispute in Wakefield

Police say a man was shot in Wakefield early Tuesday morning following a dispute on a street corner.
The incident happened on the corner of East 240th Street and Carpenter Avenue around 1 a.m.
According to police, a 20-year-old man was found on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound in his side after an argument with another man.
It is unclear what the fight was about, but officials say the suspect fled the corner in a red Audi sedan following the dispute. They say the suspect was last seen wearing black striped pants.
Officials say the victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to recover.
