The parents of Brooklyn-based rapper Hollywood Play are teaming up with the National Action Network days after he was shot and killed outside a Queens nightclub.
Hollywood Play, also known as Frank Snyder, was shot Sunday just after 3 a.m. on Jamaica Avenue. The 35-year-old suffered gunshot wounds to his neck and leg, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
There have been no arrests made so far, and the investigation into the homicide is continuing. Detectives are offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to a conviction in this case.
Police say the shooter was in a black four-door sedan that sped off after the shots rang out. They have not identified any suspects.
His family is calling on police to step up the investigation and find the person or people responsible. They are also asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the police.
Hollywood Play's manager tells News 12 that the rapper was known for giving back to people in need.
