Business Briefs: PayPal, stamps, Singapore Airlines

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK -

PayPal is teaming up with Walmart to offer cash deposits and withdrawals. It's the first time PayPal has teamed with a brick-and-mortar store for ATM-like services. Each transaction will cost $3. The service is expected in all U.S. Walmart stores by early November.

The cost of sending mail could be on the rise. The U.S. Postal Service has proposed a stamp increase of 5 cents, making a Forever Stamp 55 cents. The increase would be the biggest jump in price for a stamp since 1991. The proposed increase comes as the U.S. Postal Service continues to struggle financially.

Singapore Airlines claims they have the world's longest flight. The airline has restarted its route between Singapore and New York City, a flight that almost takes 18.5 hours and covers 9,500 miles. CNBC reports there are no economy seats on the flight, just business class and premium economy.
