The mother of a 25-year-old Bronx woman who disappeared in Morrisania last month says she hasn't lost hope.
Kassandra Ramirez's family says they last saw her on Sept. 19 when she was leaving her home in Morrisania.
Ramirez's mother, Ingrid Santana, says she missed her 6-year-old son's birthday, which is very unlike her.
Santana also says Ramirez was supposed to start a new job last week, leading the family to believe she's being held against her will.
Ramirez allegedly told a family member she was meeting up with an individual the night she went missing and even texted that family member the next day saying she was fine.
Santana says she hasn't given up despite the confusion and hardship.
"I do believe in God and I believe that He's protecting her," says Santana. "And I pray for her every single moment of every single day."
The family says they're using social media to get the word out about Ramirez's disappearance as they wait for their happy ending.
"We're fearful that something terrible has happened to her," says Santana. "That she's being held against her will and although, you know, you don't want your mind to go there, it just does."
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
