A firetruck operator crashed into multiple parked cars in Brownsville after he suffered a seizure, officials say.
The incident happened Wednesday around 6 p.m. near East New York and Saint Marks avenues.
At least four vehicles were involved in the incident, along with the firetruck from Ladder 120 in Brownsville. As a result of the crash, an SUV was suspended in mid-air between another car and the firetruck.
Witnesses say they saw a car clip the truck before it careened into a row of parked cars.
Investigators say the driver of the firetruck crashed after he suffered a seizure.
Officials say he also suffered a shoulder injury and was taken to a hospital.
Four other firefighters suffered minor injuries and are expected to be OK.
