Hendrick Hudson High School wins News 12 School Spirit Showdown

The News 12 School Spirit Showdown continues today with a school known for its “sailor spirit” as big as the blue sea.
Hendrick Hudson High School in Montrose is the third winner tallying nearly 25,000 votes.
Senior cheerleader Jessica Bartolomeo led the way at a pep rally on Thursday to make the winning announcement. “I kind of was eager to push everyone to get those votes and we show a lot of team spirit and we love to be here,” says Bartolomeo.
With 800 students, Hen Hud may not be the biggest school in the region, but its filled with energy and plenty of heart. “We do have a lot of kids here who believe our school is better than schools that are bigger and double A, and even kids here want to be here and it's really great,” says student Elijah O'Neal.
Hen Hud joins Ossining High School and Mamaroneck Ave. Elementary School as winners of the News 12 School Spirit Showdown.
Voting for most school spirit continues at News12.com. The fourth and final winner will be announced this week.
