Posted: Updated:
BROOKLYN -

The Super Bowl may be a few months away, but some celebrities are already taking a stand to support Colin Kaepernick takng a knee.

Kaepernick famously knelt during the National Anthem to protest racial injustice in 2015.

He hasn't played in the NFL since that season ended.

Rihanna reportedly turned down an offer to perform during halftime to show support for Kaepernick and his cause.

Amy Schumer announced she has refused to appear in any Super Bowl ads this year for the same reason.

Schumer called upon Maroon 5 to cancel their halftime performance.

The Super Bowl will be held Feb. 3 in Atlanta.
