Keep your sweet tooth healthy during Halloween season

With Halloween just around the corner, orthodontists are letting trick-or-treaters know how to enjoy all those sweet treats without ruining your teeth.

Dr. Sue Liebman, of Brooklyn Heights Orthodontics, says the worst enemies are the sticky candies.

Liebman says stick with stuff like Hershey's Kisses because if you've got braces it won't rip off a wire.  And for everyone else, it won't get stuck in the grooves of your teeth so you can hopefully avoid cavities.

Whether or not you're flashing metal, use a toothbrush with extra soft bristles and start at the gums, brushing away.
