Petition calls to move Halloween

BROOKLYN -

The Halloween and Costume Association has launched a national petition asking President Donald Trump to move Halloween.

The organization says it wants to move Halloween from Oct. 31 to the last Saturday of October.

More than 33,000 people have signed the measure on Change.org.

The organization says changing the holiday to fall on a Saturday would make for a "safe, longer, stress-free celebration" benefitting both kids and parents.
