Firefighters help shooting victim who made it to firehouse

Firefighters in Brownsville didn't have to leave their firehouse to help save a life on Monday.
Sources tell News 12 that a 27-year-old man was shot in the stomach shortly after 11 a.m. near Osborn Street and Pitkin Avenue. Video obtained exclusively by News 12 shows him clutching his abdomen as another man helps him down the street.
Fire officials say the man made his way around the block to Engine 231, desperately seeking help. News 12 is told he was treated at the fire station and then taken to Brookdale Medical Center.
Sources say the man is expected to survive.
Police say they are searching for the shooter and are working to determine what led to the violence. It's unclear whether the victim was an intended target or a bystander.
