Voters throughout Connecticut flocked to the polls Tuesday to weigh in on the crucial midterm elections.

Volunteers at Tracey School in Norwalk say despite the bad weather there has been a steady flow of traffic. They say the flow of people is pretty close to what it was during the 2016 presidential race.

First-time voters and longtime voters both agreed that this was an important year to make their voices heard, especially with the governor's seat and local and congressional races on the line.

Voters say some of the issues that drove them to the polls were immigration, taxes and education.
