Park Slope candy store features nostalgic sweet treats

A candy store in Park Slope is offering candy and sweets from all over the world as well as nostalgic favorites.
Fferins of Brooklyn is located on 7th Avenue and 15th Street.
"Retro, old-school, reminiscent, nostalgic candy store."
Hayley McGrath opened the shop with her wife in July.
"When you think about your childhood, it's related to sweets - to candy and I just wanted to bring back the old school sweet shop," says McGrath.
The shop features everything from hard candies to soft candies and sweet candies to sour candies.
The options are seemingly endless, from candies from as close as Red Hook to as McGrath's native United Kingdom.
Also, if there's anything they don't carry, McGrath says the shop is open to suggestions.
"I don't know all the candies out there, but if you want something just ask us and we'll see if we can get it in for you," says McGrath.
McGarth says she feels as though a candy store isn't just a business, but an integral part of any community.
"I want to be part of the nostalgia as well, so people can come back in 10 years' time and be like oh wow you're still selling this," says McGarth.
