Witnesses: Firetruck smashes into MTA bus; 26 injured

<p>Witnesses say a firetruck with light and sirens on&nbsp;smashed into an MTA bus in the Bronx Friday afternoon, leaving 26 injured. Five of those injured are firefighters.</p>

Witnesses say a firetruck with light and sirens on smashed into an MTA bus in the Bronx Friday afternoon, leaving 26 injured. Five of those injured are firefighters.
Emergency services received a call about the collision at around 12:12 p.m. 
According to witnesses, the Bx41 Select Bus was passing through the intersection of Webster Avenue and East 175th Street when the Engine 46 firetruck barreled into the vehicle. 
Witnesses say the bus had a green light when it passed through the intersection.
The driver's side windshield of the bus was torn apart.
Fire officials say all 26 injuries are minor, including those of the MTA bus driver involved.
An MTA spokesperson say they cannot say more about the incident while it is being investigated.
